Editorial standards

Investment content is only useful if you can trust how it was made. This page explains the rules we apply to every guide and page on trawaya.com.

Sourcing

Statistics and legal statements in our guides cite named, primary sources wherever possible: BPS-Statistics Indonesia (bps.go.id), Bank Indonesia, the OSS/BKPM investment system, and the underlying laws and regulations (e.g. UUPA Law 5/1960, PP 18/2021, the Harmonised Tax Law). Where an exact current figure cannot be verified, we say so and write qualitatively instead of inventing a number.

No guaranteed-return language

We never use "guaranteed", "risk-free" or "zero losses" to describe returns. Every yield is presented as a projection with its assumptions (nightly rate, occupancy, costs) disclosed, and pages that discuss returns carry a risk disclaimer. Our full list of material risks is public on the investment risks page.

Dates and updates

Every guide shows a visible "Last updated" date that matches the structured data and the sitemap. We review guides when Indonesian regulation or tax rules change, and target a full review of each guide at least twice a year. Rules that commonly change — visa policy, tax thresholds, licensing — are the first things we re-verify.

AI assistance disclosure

Drafts of our guides and translations are prepared with the assistance of AI tools and are then reviewed by the Trawaya team. Non-English versions are additionally marked for native-speaker review before we consider them final. Facts, figures and legal statements are checked against the primary sources listed on each page — AI is a drafting tool here, not a source.

Corrections

If you find an error on this site, email hello@trawaya.com. We correct verified errors, bump the page's updated date, and — for material errors on investment-relevant facts — note the correction on the page itself.

Reviewers

Legal and tax pages will carry a named, credentialed reviewer (an Indonesian notary or tax advisor) as those relationships are formalised. Until a page carries a named reviewer, treat it as carefully researched general information — and verify anything decision-critical with your own advisor, which is good practice regardless.
